A differential is the core component of a centrifuge and plays a vital role in the stable operation of the centrifuge.
In 2014, during the communication with the customer, we learned that three differentials for the ANDRITZ A11 centrifuge were damaged consecutively in a very short period of time. The customer requested our company to conduct a thorough inspection of the differentials and analyze the cause of the failure.
We conducted a comprehensive inspection and calculation of the damaged differentials and came up with the following findings: The design capacity of the main machine of the centrifuge is high, requiring 18 tons of PVC dry basis per hour, and the corresponding differential transmission torque should be 30KNm. The selection of gear parameters of the original machine, and the selection of bearings and support forms, specifications, and sizes all have some problems, that is, the safety factor is too small! When the working conditions fluctuate slightly, it is prone to damage or locking.
The NB30-40 differential designed and manufactured by Promising has been extensively modified for the original design defects. The service life of the differential was greatly prolonged by increasing the transmission gear modulus, reselecting the bearings, enhancing the support rigidity, and improved the transmission torque of the differential. This was highly praised by the customer.
